Who Is Eligible To Apply For Medical Marijuana In Kentucky
In order for an individual to be eligible for a qualified patient registry ID card in Kentucky (including in-state qualified patient, minor qualified patient, and visiting qualified patient applicants), they must be diagnosed with one (1) of the following qualifying medical conditions:
- Any type or form of cancer;
- Chronic or severe pain;
- Epilepsy or other intractable seizure disorder;
- Multiple sclerosis, muscle spasms, or spasticity;
- Chronic nausea or cyclical vomiting syndrome;
- Post-traumatic stress disorder.
It's important to note that you cannot have been convicted of a disqualifying felony offense. A disqualifying felony is one in which the person was classified by the Department of Corrections as a violent offender under KRS 439.3401 or a felony violation of a state or federal controlled substance law with exceptions for marijuana convictions.
